Syringa
A lace cardigan that looks as if it came out of a great-grandmother's wardrobe: small leaves in an eyelet trellis with a raised nupp wherever the lines cross, a lilac vine climbing beside the buttons, a wreath of lilac sprigs on the round yoke and a mini ruffle with picots on every edge.

About this pattern
Syringa is the botanical name of lilac. The cardigan is knitted from the bottom up in one piece: first the hem ruffle and the body, then the sleeves, which are joined to the body for the round yoke. The yoke is worked flat with German short rows, so the back neck sits higher than the front.
Every right-side row has lace, so the pattern gives full charts for the body trellis, both vine panels, the whole sleeve with its increases, the leaf garland and the lilac wreath, plus step-by-step instructions for the button bands and the ruffled stand collar.
The pattern also has a note on a misty version in kid mohair and silk held double, for a soft, hazy cardigan.

Questions
What does beta mean?
Syringa has been checked stitch by stitch in software (every chart row, every stitch count and the shaping of the yoke and sleeves), but no sample cardigan has been made up yet. Knit the swatch and try the body on before the yoke. If anything doesn't add up, write to [email protected]. When the tested version is ready, Payhip sends it to you for free.
Is there help while I knit?
Yes. The row-by-row companion shows every row of your size on the chart and spells it out in English or Polish. You unlock it with the code printed in the PDF.
Is this a finished cardigan?
No. This is a digital PDF pattern for you to knit yourself. Nothing is posted to you.
How do I get the pattern?
Right after payment you can download the PDFs, and Payhip also emails you a download link. The email comes from Payhip, so check your spam folder if you don't see it.
Can I get a refund?

Can I sell what I make?
